Cosa dire di di un esercito che combatte in giacca e cravatta? Beh il Regio Esercito lo faceva.

La si poteva avere scarlatta in maglia di lana per gli ufficiali mentre in panno di lana grigioverde per la truppa, ancora in panno nero per la milizia oppure per l’alta uniforme.
You could have scarlet in woolen knit for the officers while in gray-green woolen cloth for the troops, still in black cloth for the militia or for the high uniform.
Le camicie potevano essere portate anche senza cravatta per l’uniforme di marcia o da fatica, ma quando la cravatta doveva essere portata, questa poteva essere nera o grigio verde. La cravatta nera fu abolita in data 1 luglio 1942. Vi erano anche cravatte rosse per gli appartenenti alla Divisione Re, alla Divisione Cacciatori delle Alpi, e al Reggimento Savoia Cavalleria. La cravatta azzurra era prerogativa della Divisione Isonzo e della Divisione Lombardia.
The shirts could also be worn without a tie for running or fatigue uniform, but when the tie had to be worn, it could be black or gray-green. The black tie was abolished on 1 July 1942. There were also red ties for members of the Re Division, the Cacciatori delle Alpi Division, and the Savoia Cavalry Regiment. The blue tie was the prerogative of the Isonzo Division and the Lombardia Division.
Tipico del Reggimento Savoia Cavalleria, oltre alla cravatta rossa, sono le fiamme nere a tre punte e l’elmetto con il decal della croce sabauda.

Queste particolarità riguardavano tutti i componenti, ma in ogni caso le cravatte colorate non erano mai indossate con l’uniforme estiva.

Caratteristica delle camicie mod. 1939 era la bottoniera sul petto e a volte era possibile avere anche un bottone sul retro del colletto.
Altra possibile versione della mod. 1935 era quella in grigioverde con cerniera sul petto. La camicia veniva indossata come fosse una casacca.
Characteristics of the shirts mod. 1939 was the button on the chest and sometimes it was also possible to have a button on the back of the collar.
Another possible version of the mod. 1935 was the gray one with zipper on the chest. The shirt was worn like a jacket.
